The Non-Owned Releases option allows for the release of inventory from customer lots that were previously inducted or added to the system as non-owned inductions. Releases are specific to a single customer and one location. Releasing inventory through this screen will update inventory balances so that the system will correctly reflect the on-hand and available balances of non-owned inventory items for each customer inventory by location.
Warehouse releases can be printed for the non-owned release and not completed until confirmed by the warehouse that the release was shipped. Based on the carrier assigned to the release, bills of lading can also be printed for the release.
The non-owned release will commit the item and lot when opened and adjust the available balance. The on-hand and lot balance does not get updated until the release is committed. This allows the user to enter non-owned releases today for releases in the future and prevents over-committing the lot balance.
